Rowell Quinton is Canadian born and raised in Washington State. Excelling in every creative class he took, his ability to draw was evident at an early age. Rowell attended The Art Center School of Design in California and majored in Industrial Design, graduating top of his class with a B.P.A. degree. As a designer in the automotive and aerospace industry, Rowell was one of the original designers of the Ford Mustang, and worked on the Boeing SST in Seattle. Not only did he become a top designer, but one of the best illustrators in his field. During this time, he began his fine arts career, which has now spanned more that 50 years and includes two large illustrations that were part of the Bicentennial Celebration at Cape Kennedy. He has taught at the University level. Additionally, he juries art shows and receives many requests to conduct workshops and lectures.

His work has been shown in numerous museums and galleries and is among the collections owned by individuals throughout the United States and abroad. Since moving to Arizona, he has turned to Western Art and derives a great deal of pleasure from his paintings and research on the subject. His dynamic style, composition, design and color have resulted in many awards. For two years he was President of the Scottsdale Art League. His first love has always been painting and he continues to attend workshops in an effort to perfect his craft.
